About Us:

Saint John Paul II Elementary School is one of three schools in the Shenango Valley Catholic School System, which was formed by the Most Reverend Donald Trautman, Bishop of the Diocese of Erie, in 2011, and opened for its inaugural year in August 2011.  The Shenango Valley Catholic School System is comprised of Saint John Paul II Elementary (grades pre-K through 5), Kennedy Catholic Middle School (grades 6 through 8), and Kennedy Catholic High School (grades 9 through 12).

Saint John Paul II Elementary School is located on a 27-acre site in Hermitage, Pennsylvania – a community located in the western part of the state near the border with Ohio. Our facilities include a large multi-purpose room, well stocked library, separate rooms for computer, music/art, enrichment, remedial help, teacher’s lounge, and administrative offices. A fully equipped kitchen, concession area, and a gymnasium with a stage adds to our complex. Ample parking space is available for school use. Three soccer fields are utilized for sports practice, gym classes, and recess. An outdoor concession pavilion with restroom facilities for use during games and practices is convenient not only for our participants but also for our fans.
